All round New Zealand, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year Coastguard is there for our communities as the charity saving lives at sea. Our volunteers are the heart and spirit of our organisation and in 2020 they bought 6,797 people home to safety.

Coastguard Maraetai - Our Local Volunteers

Coastguard Maraetai is there for our community. Our 40 volunteers spent 7,500 hours in 2020 ensuring they were fully prepared to respond to 173 calls for help, bring 511 people to safety.

Our volunteers play a vital role, but so do our many sponsors, members and supporters who through their generosity allow us to continue.
